How We Work

When Our Relationships Are Strong,
Life Is Better.

In this culture, we get so busy that we tend to overlook who or what is most important to us, so taking some time and energy to redirect towards our significant relationships can bring long-lasting benefit.  When we talk about relationships, we are not just referring to gay or straight romantic relationships, but also to parent-child, business partners, siblings and friends.

Over time, we have realized that working as a team is very powerful.  Having two therapists together offers a dynamic and impactful experience. We help bring strengths and resources to the foreground that may have been eclipsed by problems.  As a result, coming for a session will not feel like therapy as most people envision it. We approach problems differently;  our methods will help people unite collaboratively against their problems in order to elicit meaningful change.

Sometimes we use Reflection Letters, offering an opportunity to recall, reflect, and enhance the work done during the visit.  Studies have shown that therapeutic letter writing can have the effect of multiple sessions.

We are trained in Solution-Focused, Narrative, and Brief Therapy, and our work helps transform blame into understanding while creating a renewed sense of possibility and hope for the relationship.   Please see our About Us page for more details about our work.

We believe any relationship can benefit from a Tune-up.  We are honored to be part of your journey to a more fulfilling relationship.

We look forward to hearing from you,
Katharina Kienböck and Linda Block
