About Us

Katharina Kienböck, MFT #100517
M.A. in Clinical Psychology

A postmodern Marriage and Family Therapist and teacher, Katharina has a curiosity about helping people to reconnect with a sense of freedom and joy in their lives, escape preconceived notions of who they are supposed to be, and find ways to connect with their loved ones with more clarity and preferred ways of being.

Katharina has worked in a variety of settings for the past 15 years.  She has created programs and led groups at a day treatment center in New York, has worked with women and families at a Homeless Shelter in Los Angeles, and supported clients with severe mental illness to live independently in Sonoma County.  She has been a teacher of social justice, psychology and cultural diversity at Antioch University in Los Angeles as well as at a Community College in Hudson, NY.

Her respect and her warmth create a collaborative working relationship which helps people find their way to making changes in their lives.

Linda Block, MFT #38466
M.A. in Clinical Psychology

Linda is a Marriage and Family Therapist who has been practicing as a Narrative Psychotherapist and Supervisor in private practice and in a medical setting for the past 15 years.

Linda spearheaded a counseling training center within a medical clinic in a rural setting where there was little opportunity for people to find support and therapy.   She created mindfulness meditation groups to help people deal with chronic pain and has trained students and teachers in anti-bias education to help with bullying prevention and intervention.  Linda started a gay-straight alliance to support those kids at highest risk of suicide in the middle school.  Her specialties as a therapist have also included family therapy, parenting education, ADHD, and adoption issues.

Linda believes strongly that when our relationships are good, life is better, so she teamed up with Katharina Kienböck to coach couples to better relationships.
